Interested in PDQ Bach? - The place to start is Gabriel's Yahoo Club: PDQ Bach

Dear Musical Moose:

Thanks for joining my PDQ Bach club at Yahoo.  Thought I'd reciprocate by giving you a list of my 30
Desert Island Discs. I might be cheating a bit since I bought the Beethoven and Bach collections a volume
at a time but if you have the money on hand you can purchase these 2 as a complete set. It might have
taken me 12 months or so to collect each of these collections but I do own them all and if I'd had the
money I would have bought them as one collection with one purchase. You can never have too
much of a good thing.

Here is the list in alphabetical order:

1) Bach, PDQ ---  The Dreaded PDQ Bach Collection Vol 1  (4 CDs of the first 5 albums) What more
could you ask for except all the other PDQ Bach albums as one collection.

2) Bach, JS --- Bach 2000 Edition -  The complete works (about 153 CD's in total).

3) Beethoven --- Deutsche Gramophons Complete Beethoven Edition. --- Another complete works set of
my favorite classical composer.  About 97 or so CD's in total

4) The Beatles --- Either the Anthology Collection (6 CD's) or Past Master Vol 1 & 2 (2 CD's)

5) Bonzo Dog Band  --- Cornology --- 3  CD boxed set of all their albums - 60's British comic rock & pop
music.

6) David Bowie --- Sound + Vision (3 CD collection).

7) Elvis Costello --- Girls, Girls, Girls (2 CD collection).

8) John Cale --- Either Fragments of a Rainy Season or the Collected works CD set. I saw John Cale live
and he played most of the Fragments of a Rainy Season songs in the same order as on the album. Best live
concert of a solo artist I've been to.

9) Leonard Cohen --- Greatest Hits (1 CD).

10) The Clash --- London  Calling (1 CD)

11) Bob Dylan --- Biograph (3 CD collection).

12) Ray Davies --- The Storyteller (1 CD).

13) Flanders & Swann ---  The Complete Flanders & Swann (3 CD's).

14) Glenn Gould --- 32 short films about Glenn Gould motion picture soundtrack (1 CD)

15) Bernard Herrmann --- Hitchcock film scores (1 CD).

16) Spike Jones --- The Musical Depreciation Review Anthology (2 CDs).

17) The Kinks --- The Village Green Preservation Society (1 CD).

18) Tom Lehrer --- Songs and More Songs by Tom Lehrer (1 CD).

19) Monty Python --- Monty Pythons Sings! (1 CD) --- their best songs from all their other albums.

20) Randy Newman --- Guilty 30 Years (4 CD compilation).

21) Harry Nilsson --- Personal Best (2 CD compilation).

22) Pink Floyd --- Dark Side of the Moon (1 CD).

23) Rolling Stones --- The London Years (3 CD compilation) - Most of their early singles.

24) Lou Reed --- Between Thought and Expression (3 CD compilation).

25) The Rutles --- Archaeology (1 CD).

26) Richard Thompson --- Watching the Dark (3 CD compilation).

27) Talking Heads --- Compilation CD (1 CD).

28) Travelling Wilburys --- Vol 1 (1 CD).

29) Velvet Underground --- 5 LP boxed set of all their studio albums. (Or one of the various CD
collections that collect all their albums) --- One of the last LP collections I bought before CD's started to
be marketed.

30) Roger Waters --- Amused to Death (1 CD).

Apart from Bach and Beethoven, I bought all of these as single collections or just single CD's.
